Martin Tranter

North Queensland Lawyers Martin TranterMartin was admitted as a Solicitor in 1998 and has worked as a Solicitor in Port Douglas since admission.

His areas of practice include Body Corporate related matters including Management Rights, Community Titles Scheme development and Body Corporate regulation and disputes, Property Law and Conveyancing, Sale and Purchase of Businesses, Farms, Retail and Commercial Leases and Wills, Probate and Estates.

Martin has acted for many Bodies Corporate, on-site managers and Developers in Port Douglas, Palm Cove, Cairns and Townsville. He currently acts or has acted for most of the Body Corporates situated in Port Douglas.

Martin grew up on a farm on the southern Atherton Tablelands and maintains a strong connection with the farming sector.

He was actively involved in the establishment of the Port Douglas Chamber of Commerce. He also provides advices to many community organizations or all groups.

He sea kayaks well but plays most other sports including touch football and cricket badly but with passion. His inability to convince his local cricket team that him batting at number 11 means that he is a specialist batsman does not reflect his legal negotiation skills.

His interests include expedition sea kayaking, travelling and hiking. Martin completed Kokoda in 2007.
